Albarella Media creates marketing for NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences
Albarella Media, a Buffalo-based award-winning multimedia design and consulting firm is actively working with the NYS Center of Excellence in Bioinformatics and Life Sciences to serve as its media, marketing and web consultant. In this capacity, Albarella Media will be responsible for the re-design of the Center’s iSciWNY website and its marketing.
iSciWNY is a collaboration between the Center for Excellence and the University at Buffalo. Its purpose is to create an awareness of careers in Life Sciences and Life Sciences companies located in Western New York as well as create a dialogue between students, workers and Life Sciences companies in the region.
The iSciWNY website and related marketing materials provide information on what it is like to work in Life Sciences, what jobs are available, what education is needed and what companies are here in western NY. The iSciWNY tagline “Stay here… go far” is at the core of its message and is designed to let people know there is a job for everyone in the Life Sciences field. The new website, which will launch in late summer, will include additional materials for younger students, teacher resources,social networking, digital media in the form of Virtual Tours, and new job search and recruitment features.

Bethune’s Opus: Restoring Louise Bethune’s Hotel Lafayette captures the energy and excitement surrounding the rebirth of one of Buffalo’s most treasured landmarks.
Originally opened in 1904, the Hotel Lafayette was designed by Buffalo’s Louise Blanchard Bethune, the country’s first professional woman architect. After years of neglect, it has been meticulously restored in breathtaking architectural detail.
Local award-winning photographer, Jackie Albarella has captured this remarkable restoration in stunning, full color photos combined with historical information and interviews with some of the dozens of craftsmen and artisans who worked on the project. The book will be available in Spring 2013.
